BRS Urges Central Forces in Jubilee Hills Amidst Election Code Violation Claims
Imagine there's an important election happening soon in a place called Jubilee Hills.
A political group called BRS is worried that the other main party, led by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, might be cheating.
They told the people in charge of elections, the Election Commission, that the Chief Minister and his friends are breaking the rules, called the Model Code of Conduct, while they are trying to get people to vote for them.
The BRS doesn't trust the local police to be fair, so they asked for special police from the central government to come and watch.
They also want more women police officers at the places where people vote, because they are afraid that someone might try to trick voters or vote for people who aren't actually there.
They want to make sure the election is honest.
BRS leaders submitted a memorandum to the Election Commission of India (ECI) on Friday.
They accused Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and Congress colleagues of violating the Model Code of Conduct during Jubilee Hills byelection campaigning.
The BRS expressed doubts about the impartiality of the Telangana police.
They urged the ECI to deploy central security forces and more women officers in Jubilee Hills.
BRS warned of potential fake voting and demanded strict enforcement of election rules for a fair bypoll.
