Mumbai Traffic Police Book 9,450 Motorists In One Day

Mumbai traffic police checked many drivers and riders in one day.

They took action against about 9,450 motorists for breaking traffic rules.

Among them, 1,154 were driving on the wrong side of the road.

Police also carried out a large check in Parel.

This followed a tense situation there around midnight on Wednesday.

The Bhoiwada Traffic Division acted against 245 motorists.

Some people were not wearing helmets, jumping signals, carrying three riders, or using unclear number plates.

Police said they are increasing checks to make roads safer for everyone.
