Jharkhand Launches Statewide Survey to Identify Out-of-School Children
Jharkhand is going to ask every house in the state to find kids who aren't going to school.
Teachers and government helpers will visit homes starting November 15th until January 10th, 2026.
They will use a special app on their phones to write down which children are in school and which are not.
This is like taking attendance for all the kids in the state.
The last time they did this, they found almost 59,000 kids weren't in school.
This time, they really want to find every single child who isn't in school and help them go back.
They want to make sure no child is left behind and can learn and grow.
Jharkhand is conducting a statewide door-to-door survey from November 15 to January 10, 2026.
The survey aims to identify children who are out of school or have dropped out.
Teachers and education staff will use a mobile application for real-time data collection.
The government has set a target of zero dropouts for all villages and wards.
Community members and organizations will support the initiative to re-enroll students for the next academic session.
