Shining Tools Shares Debut With 9% Discount on BSE SME

Imagine you bought a toy for $114, and on the first day you could sell it, it was only worth $104.

That's what happened with a company called Shining Tools.

They sell special metal-cutting tools.

Their special offer to sell shares to the public, called an IPO, had a price of $114 per share.

But when people started buying and selling these shares for the first time on a stock market called BSE SME, the price dropped to $104.

This means the shares started trading for less than what they were offered for.

Even though the grey market, where people guess prices before they officially start trading, expected them to trade at the original price, they actually started lower.

The company wanted to raise money to buy new machines and for other business needs.
