Own a Piece of Lord's: Cricket Ground Turf for Sale!
The famous Lord's cricket ground is selling small pieces of its grass!
The owners, the MCC, are letting anyone buy a piece of the field where cricket history has happened.
This helps raise money to improve the ground and support the MCC Foundation.
For about Rs 5000, you can own a piece of the turf.
The ground is also getting a makeover with the grass being replaced, the first time since 2002.
This should help with issues like players getting stuck in the ground during matches.
The Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) is selling pieces of Lord's cricket ground turf.
The turf is being sold to members and the general public to raise funds for the MCC Foundation and improve facilities.
Each 1.2 x 0.6 meter piece of turf is priced at £50 (around Rs 5000).
10% of the proceeds will go to the MCC foundation.
The outfield at Lord's is undergoing a major change, with the grass being relaid in September.
