UPI Transactions Surge 32% Annually in November 2025
In November 2025, UPI transactions in India reached 20.47 billion, worth ₹26.32 lakh crore.
This is a big increase from November 2024, when there were 15.48 billion transactions worth ₹21.55 lakh crore.
Over the past five years, UPI transactions have grown a lot.
In November 2021, there were only 4.18 billion transactions worth ₹7.68 lakh crore.
This shows that more people in India are using digital payments instead of cash.
The growth is because more people have smartphones, and it's easier to make payments using UPI.
Merchants also accept UPI payments more now.
The numbers show that UPI is becoming very important for digital payments in India.
The average daily transaction amount in November 2025 was ₹87,721 crore, and the average daily transaction count was 682 million.
The total value of UPI transactions in the first half of 2025 was ₹143.34 lakh crore, highlighting how deeply digital payments have become a part of everyday life in India.
