Andhra Pradesh to Rank PHCs on 21 Indicators
The Andhra Pradesh government is changing how it ranks primary health centres (PHCs).
Instead of just counting the number of services provided, they will now look at how well the PHCs are actually helping people.
This new system uses 21 important indicators, like how many teenage pregnancies there are, how many high-risk pregnancies are registered, and how well children are cared for.
The PHCs will be graded from A to D based on their performance.
The government also wants to hear from patients about their experiences through a special phone system.
This change is meant to make healthcare in rural areas better and more focused on the people.
Andhra Pradesh government introduces a new ranking system for PHCs based on 21 Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
The new system focuses on health outcomes rather than just the number of services provided.
Key indicators include maternal and child health, chronic illness management, and patient feedback.
PHCs will be graded from A to D based on their performance.
Patient feedback will be collected through the Interactive Voice Response System (IVRS).
