Bengaluru Veterinary Clinic Investigated Over Alleged Cruelty to Stray Dogs

Officials inspected a veterinary clinic in Bengaluru after seeing videos that appeared to show animals being treated cruelly.

They said a student named Manjunath brought stray dogs there for surgeries and research.

The clinic was reportedly unlicensed and had operated for about four years.

Inspectors found bandaged dogs inside.

They rescued six stray dogs, one cat and five other dogs being kept at the facility.

A dead dog was also found outside, but officials do not know how it died.

Veterinarian Asif said he was innocent and that Manjunath brought the dogs for surgery.

Police have registered a case and are investigating.
