Kerala Cabinet Approves Five Digital Governance Reforms
The Kerala government has decided to make five big changes to help run the state better.
They will create a new digital system called SAMPATH to keep track of all government property.
Another system, PlanSpace 2.0, will use maps to show where every big construction project is and how it is going.
They will also list all 591 state institutions and see if any can be combined to save money.
Finally, they will review old laws and simplify rules so people and businesses can deal with the government more easily.
Kerala Cabinet approved five administrative reforms on July 29, 2024.
Reforms include SAMPATH, a digital registry for all government assets.
PlanSpace 2.0 will map every capital project with GIS technology.
A registry of 591 state institutions will be created, covering Rs 19,000 crore in salaries.
