Jio Showcases AI Wearables, Including Glasses for UPI Payments
Reliance Jio showed new glasses and other wearable devices at a technology event.
The glasses have a camera and can respond to voice commands.
In a demonstration, they scanned a shop’s payment QR code and started a UPI payment after the user confirmed.
One report gives UPI Circle limits, but Jio has not said what limits or safety steps its own feature will use.
The company has also not confirmed when the payment feature will be available to customers.
The glasses are designed to take pictures and videos, translate 12 languages and answer questions.
Other planned uses include helping with meetings, reminders, fitness and learning.
Jio says the devices will run on its JioRealityOS software.
Reliance Jio unveiled AI glasses, audio frames and earbuds at India Mobile Congress 2026.

A separate report describes UPI Circle limits of ₹5,000 per transaction and ₹15,000 monthly; Jio has not confirmed its payment feature’s limits or full safeguards.
JioFrames are designed for hands-free photos, video, live streaming, translation across 12 languages and voice-based AI assistance.
