Rayalaseema Body Urges Agri Varsity in Kurnool District
A group called Rayalaseema Saguneeti Sadhana Samithi is asking the government to build a big farming university in the Kurnool district.
They say there's plenty of land there with good water for farming.
The group is upset because the university was moved to a smaller place in Guntur instead.
They think it's not fair and want the university to be in Rayalaseema as originally planned.
Rayalaseema Saguneeti Sadhana Samithi welcomes the Chief Minister's request for a national-level agricultural university in Andhra Pradesh.
1,800 acres of government land available in Jupadu Bangla, Kurnool district, with assured irrigation.
Samithi demands the university be set up in Rayalaseema as per the AP Reorganisation Act.
University was shifted to LAM Farm in Guntur, which has only 100 acres, deemed unjust by the Samithi.
Samithi has organized protests and submitted memoranda for the university in Rayalaseema.
