CBSE Releases 2026 Exam Guidelines
The CBSE has given important rules for Class 10 students who will take the 2026 board exams in Science, Social Science, and Computer Science.
They must write their answers only in the special sections of the answer book for each subject.
Science has three sections: Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.
Social Science has four sections: History, Geography, Political Science, and Economics.
Computer Science has five sections with different types of questions.
If students mix up the sections or write in the wrong place, their answers won't be checked, and they won't get any marks.
Schools have been told to help students practice this format before the exams.
Sample question papers showing the new format are available on the CBSE website for students to review.
The exams will start on February 17, 2026, and end on March 10, 2026, for Class 10.
CBSE has issued strict answer-writing instructions for Class 10 Science, Social Science, and Computer Science papers for the 2026 board exams.
Science papers are divided into three sections: Biology, Chemistry, and Physics; Social Science into four sections: History, Geography, Political Science, and Economics; Computer Science into five sections with different types of questions.
Students must write answers only in the designated sections; mixing sections will result in non-evaluation of responses.
Sample Question Papers reflecting the revised structure are available on the CBSE Academic website for student review.
Schools are directed to provide adequate practice to students to familiarize them with the revised answer-writing format.
