Five TCS Nashik Accused Granted Bail
A court in Nashik decided to let five men go free on bail.
These men were accused of making a woman at their workplace feel uncomfortable and trying to force her to do something she didn’t want.
The court said the police had almost finished looking into the case and that the men were not a danger to witnesses.
The men must visit the police every Saturday and cannot talk to the victim or go near her home or office.
The company, TCS, said it would not tolerate harassment and has suspended the men.
The judge said the men had already spent more than three months in jail.
The case shows how courts decide if someone can be released while a case is still being investigated.
Nashik court granted bail to five men accused in a sexual harassment and forcible conversion case at TCS Nashik office on July 30.
Bail was based on the filing of the chargesheet and the near completion of the investigation, with the accused having spent over three months in custody.
Conditions include weekly police visits, prohibition from contacting the victim or witnesses, and staying away from the victim’s workplace and residence.
Prosecution argued the accused exploited the victim’s financial vulnerability; defense described the remarks as “light‑hearted banter.”
TCS suspended the accused employees and reiterated its zero‑tolerance harassment policy.
