Eleven child labourers rescued from south Delhi establishments

Officials and child-protection groups rescued 11 boys from shops and eateries in south Delhi.

The boys were between six and 17 years old.

Two of the youngest boys allegedly received only chips and biscuits instead of money.

Five children had not been paid at all.

The others reportedly received only small amounts.

The children came from Bihar, Uttar Pradesh and Maharashtra.

Eleven workplaces were sealed after the operation.

The boys were examined by doctors and taken to a children’s home.

Authorities are investigating how they were employed.
