Three Arrested After MDMA Worth Rs 1.58 Crore Seized

Police in Mangaluru say they stopped a large shipment of MDMA before it could be sold.

They arrested three men during the operation on Thursday night.

Police say the drugs weighed nearly 1.8 kilograms and were worth about Rs 1.58 crore.

They allege the drugs came from Amritsar.

The drugs were hidden inside the water-storage part of a water purifier.

The purifier had been sent to Mangaluru by courier.

Police say the drugs were meant for sale in Mangaluru and parts of Kerala.

Officers also took several phones, vehicles, the courier box and the purifier.

The case is being investigated, and the arrested men are to be questioned and brought before a court.
