India's Finance Minister, Nirmala Sitharaman, announced that the government has spent a lot of money, about 21,000 crore rupees, on schools and learning in the Northeast part of the country over the last 11 years.

This university will focus on teaching technical skills and new technologies like AI.

The minister also mentioned that many new schools and special learning centers have been opened in the area.

Besides education, the government has also improved travel in the Northeast by building new airports and adding new train routes to states that didn't have them before.
