Nvidia in talks to invest $3 billion in SB Energy
Nvidia makes special computer chips that help artificial intelligence, or AI, work.
AI needs huge buildings called data centres, full of computers and lots of electricity.
A company called SB Energy is building a giant data centre in Ohio for OpenAI, the company that makes ChatGPT.
Nvidia wants to give SB Energy up to $3 billion to help pay for it.
That is a lot of money — enough to buy many, many houses.
SB Energy also wants to sell shares to the public, which is called an IPO, and could raise at least $5 billion.
Nvidia is also helping guarantee loans for the project, but it decided to guarantee less money than first planned because some investors were worried.
The data centre could be one of the biggest ever built, using as much power as a small city.
This shows that building AI is very expensive and needs many companies to work together.
