BJP Demands More Funds for Somasila and Veligonda Projects
A group of BJP leaders visited the office of the Telugu Ganga Executive Engineer in Nellore.
They gave a letter asking the government to give more money for three important water projects: Somasila Dam, Kandeleru Clay Bund, and Veligonda.
They said these projects are important for farmers who grow crops in dry areas.
They also warned that if the Somasila Reservoir is not fixed, nearby villages might get flooded when it rains.
The BJP leaders said that because the Somasila Dam High Level Canal is being built very slowly, farmers are losing their crops.
BJP representatives met with Telugu Ganga Executive Engineer to demand more funds for irrigation projects.
They urged the government to allocate more funds for Somasila Dam Apron Wall, Kandeleru Clay Bund, and Veligonda Projects.
