Sarva Pitru Amavasya 2026: Tithi, Vidhi And Ancestor Observances

Sarva Pitru Amavasya is a day for remembering and honoring ancestors.

People may perform rituals such as tarpan, donation, and shraddha.

The article gives a special time called Kutup Muhurta for these activities.

In 2026, it will be from 11:45 a.m.

to 12:31 p.m.

This period lasts 47 minutes.

People who cannot perform the rituals then have another option.

That second period is called Rohini Muhurta.

It will be from 12:31 p.m.

to 1:18 p.m., also lasting 47 minutes.
