Delhi Hospitals Ordered To Reserve Isolation Beds Amid H1N1 Rise

Delhi is seeing more cases of H1N1, a type of flu.

The government has asked hospitals to prepare special beds for people who may need to be separated from others.

Smaller government hospitals must keep at least five isolation beds, while larger ones must keep 10 or more.

Hospitals will also create Flu Corners in their emergency departments.

Doctors may test suspected patients by collecting swab samples.

Delhi reported 138 new H1N1 cases in one day.

Officials said people should stay careful but not panic.

They advised washing hands, covering coughs and using masks when appropriate.

People with symptoms, especially those at higher risk, should seek medical advice instead of treating themselves.
