Amit Shah Urges 10-Year Roadmap for PRAHAAR Counter-Terror Strategy
Amit Shah wants India to follow a long-term plan to fight terrorism.
The plan is called PRAHAAR.
He said it should guide officials and police stations for the next 10 years.
Authorities should keep studying terrorist incidents to improve their responses.
He also proposed automatic response systems across the counter-terrorism framework.
Shah asked different agencies and police forces to coordinate better.
PRAHAAR has seven parts, including prevention, response, human rights, international cooperation, and recovery.
He also launched a portal intended to help bring fugitives back from other countries.
Police forces were asked to create teams that track fugitives.
Amit Shah called for institutionalising the PRAHAAR counter-terrorism strategy over the next 10 years.
He urged continuous analysis of terrorist incidents and automated counter-terrorism responses at every level.
Shah said PRAHAAR’s principles should reach the police-station, or thana, level.
The conference emphasized proactive, result-oriented coordination among government and security stakeholders.
Shah also launched an extradition portal and urged state police to create dedicated fugitive-tracking teams.
