AIIMS Faculty to Boycott Convocation Over Department Head's Removal
The doctors and professors at AIIMS are upset.
They are not going to attend the graduation ceremony because they disagree with how the head of a surgery department was removed from his job.
They believe the process wasn't fair.
They are also upset that the graduation ceremony is being held off campus for the third time in a row.
The faculty members will wear black badges as a sign of protest.
They want the department head to get his job back and want future graduation ceremonies to be held on the AIIMS campus.
They are also extending their best wishes to the students and scholars.
Faculty Association of AIIMS (FAIMS) decided to boycott the convocation.
The protest is due to the removal of the head of the cardiothoracic and vascular surgery department.
The convocation is being held outside the AIIMS campus.
FAIMS members will hold a black badge protest on October 25.
