Bihar Man Claims Booking While in Russia, Cases Withdrawn
A man from a town in Bihar says he was put in trouble by the police for a protest he says he never attended because he was in Russia for four months.
He made a video that many people saw online, but the police could not check if it was real.
The police officer in charge said anyone who has a problem could talk to the police.
The state government decided to cancel all the police reports about the protest and let the 694 people who were taken to jail go free.
The protest was part of a bigger movement across the country asking for changes in how exams are run.
Mohammad Sadaqat claims he was booked in a NEET protest case while living in Russia for four months.
The video of Sadaqat, allegedly shot in Russia, went viral but its authenticity could not be verified by PTI.
Kishanganj Superintendent of Police Hari Mohan Shukla said those with grievances could approach police for redressal, neither confirming nor denying the claim.
The Bihar government announced it would withdraw all FIRs, complaints and show‑cause notices related to the NEET paper leak protests and release 694 detainees.
The protests were part of a nationwide bandh demanding education reforms, involving groups like AISA, CJP, and opposition parties.
