Police portals restored after cyber attack
The official websites of the Cyberabad and Rachakonda police in India were hacked.
The hackers made the websites send people to illegal gambling sites instead of showing the real police information.
The police found out about the hack on November 15th and quickly turned off the websites to keep people safe.
A special team from Delhi worked to fix the problem and make the websites safe again.
They checked everything carefully and turned the websites back on by Thursday.
The police say no important information was stolen.
This is not the first time this has happened in Telangana.
Earlier, the High Court website was also hacked and sent people to a gambling site.
The police are still trying to find out who did these hacks.
Cyberabad and Rachakonda police websites were hacked and redirected users to illegal gaming and betting sites.
The breach was detected on 15th November, and the websites were taken offline as a precaution.
A Delhi-based cybersecurity firm, supervised by the National Informatics Centre (NIC), conducted audits and patched vulnerabilities.
The websites were restored by Thursday, with no evidence of a data breach.
This attack follows a pattern of cyber threats targeting Telangana's digital infrastructure, including a recent hack of the Telangana High Court website.
