Banks Closed In Nine States For Raksha Bandhan

Banks Closed In Nine States For Raksha Bandhan

Some bank branches will be closed on Friday, August 28, because people are celebrating Raksha Bandhan and other regional festivals.

This does not mean every bank in India will be closed.

Closures depend on the state, city and branch location.

Several states, including Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Kerala and Sikkim, are affected.

Banks are expected to open on Saturday, August 29.

They will close again on Sunday, August 30, because it is the weekly holiday.

Branches should reopen normally on Monday, August 31.

People can still use mobile banking, internet banking, UPI and ATMs.

Customers should check with their local branch before travelling.
