SC Seeks CBI's Reply on Ex-R&AW Official's Plea
The Supreme Court has asked the CBI to respond to a request by a former R&AW official, Major General V K Singh, who wants to see the documents the CBI is using in his trial.
Singh is being tried under the Official Secrets Act for allegedly revealing secret information in his book.
The high court had earlier said Singh's lawyers could see the documents but not take copies because they are sensitive.
Singh's lawyers argue that it's normal for the accused to get the documents the prosecution is using.
The Supreme Court will hear the case again in four weeks.
