Maruti Suzuki Aims for 4 Lakh Exports to Offset Domestic Slump
Maruti Suzuki is trying to sell more cars outside of India.
They are hoping to send 400,000 cars to other countries next year, which is a lot more than they sold last year.
This is because it's getting harder to sell cars in India because cars cost more now, and because of troubles in some areas.
They're selling a lot more cars in places like South Africa and Japan to make up for the slowdown at home.
Maruti Suzuki aims to export 4 lakh cars in 2025-26, a 20% increase from 2024-25.
Exports in May were 80% higher than the previous year.
Domestic sales declined by 5.5% in May.
South Africa, Japan, and Chile are key export markets.
Mini and compact car sales decreased due to rising costs and regional conflicts.
