J-K on High Alert for Republic Day
Security in Jammu and Kashmir is very tight right now because it's almost time for Republic Day.
The government is worried about terrorists causing trouble, so they have put up extra barriers and more police around important places like Bakshi Stadium in Srinagar.
They are also watching the borders very carefully because there have been some bad things happening there, like people trying to sneak in and drones flying around.
The police are working hard to make sure everyone stays safe during the celebrations.
They even found a bomb and safely got rid of it.
Everyone is being asked to help by telling the police if they see anything strange.
The head of the police, DGP Nalin Prabhat, and other important officers had meetings to make sure all the police are ready and know what to do to keep everyone safe.
Security has been significantly increased in Jammu and Kashmir ahead of Republic Day due to terror threats.
Specialized security protocols and multiple barriers have been set up at key locations, including Bakshi Stadium in Srinagar.
Security forces have reinforced their presence in sensitive areas, particularly in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
Increased patrolling along national highways and high alert along the Line of Control (LoC) and international border due to recent infiltration attempts and drone activity.
An improvised explosive device (IED) was found and detonated in a controlled manner near Tapar Road to ensure public safety.
