Mist Sprayers to Fight Pollution Expanded in New Delhi
Imagine tiny water sprinklers on streetlights!
Delhi is putting these up in more places to fight dusty air.
They started on one road and are now adding them on Africa Avenue and Shantipath.
The sprinklers spray a mist of treated water to clean the air.
Each pole will have many tiny sprayers that will use around 84 litres of water every hour.
The city hopes this helps to make the air cleaner for everyone.
Mist sprayers are being installed on Africa Avenue and Shantipath.
The project follows a successful first phase on Lodhi Road.
Each pole on Africa Avenue will have five nozzles with six spray holes.
The system will utilize about 84 litres of treated water per hour per pole.
The project is expected to be completed within one month during July-Aug 2025.
