Maharashtra Seeks Fast‑Track Approval for Sagarmala 2.0 Projects
Maharashtra’s fisheries minister, Nitesh Rane, went to New Delhi to ask the central government to approve a set of projects under the Sagarmala 2.0 programme.
These projects aim to upgrade fishing harbours, build new coastal roads, improve transport links, and boost shipping and tourism along the coast.

He also said the plans fit with India’s long‑term plan called Viksit Bharat 2047.
