Kia Syros EV Breaks 500-km Range Barrier
Kia India is launching a new electric car called the Syros EV at the end of July.
This car is special because it's the first small electric car (less than 4 meters long) that can travel more than 500 kilometers on a single charge.
It has two battery options: a bigger one that gives it a range of 526 kilometers and a smaller one with a range of 443 kilometers.
The Syros EV is also the fastest in its category, going from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in just 8.1 seconds.
This makes it a strong competitor against other electric cars like the Tata Nexon EV and Punch EV.
Kia India will launch the Syros EV at the end of July, its second mass-market electric car.
The Syros EV is the first sub-4 metre electric car to exceed a 500-km range with a 526 km ARAI-certified range.
It offers two battery options: a 51.4-kWh battery with a 526 km range and a 42-kWh battery with a 443 km range.
The Syros EV is built on a reinforced K1 platform designed for sub-4 metre cars.
It has the quickest acceleration in its segment, with a 0-100 km/h time of 8.1 seconds.
