Three Arrested in Alleged Fake FMGE Certificate Racket

Police in Maharashtra say they uncovered a scheme involving fake medical examination and registration papers.

They arrested three men who are accused of helping foreign-trained medical graduates who failed an examination required to practise in India.

Investigators say the papers included fake test results and certificates.

Police allege that 16 graduates were involved and that candidates were charged large sums of money.

They are checking phones, messages and financial transactions for clues.

Police are also investigating how the documents were uploaded to the medical council’s online system.

Two alleged associates in Bhopal and Delhi are being sought.

The three arrested men will remain in judicial custody until October 19 while the investigation continues.
