Maharashtra Trains Faculty To Turn Student Projects Into Patents

Maharashtra Trains Faculty To Turn Student Projects Into Patents

Teachers in Maharashtra went to a special three-day class to learn how to turn student projects into real inventions.

The training took place at the MIT Academy of Engineering in Alandi.

Forty teachers took part in the programme, which is called 'Project to Product to Patents.'

They learned how to find real-world problems and design products that solve them.

The teachers also learned about patents, which are official protections for new inventions.

The programme is part of a bigger education plan called the National Education Policy 2020.

Teachers practised fun thinking tools like the Fishbone Diagram and Six Thinking Hats.

The goal is to help students create useful, commercially viable innovations.

Leaders hope this will encourage entrepreneurship and a culture of research in Maharashtra's colleges and universities.
