IndiGo Completes Refunds, Extends Care for December Disruptions
IndiGo, a big airline in India, had a lot of flight cancellations on December 3-5, 2025.
This happened because they didn't plan their pilots' schedules well and weren't ready for new safety rules.
Many passengers were stuck, and the government was not happy.
Now, IndiGo has given back money to all passengers who had their flights cancelled.
They are also giving special travel vouchers worth Rs 10,000 to those whose flights were cancelled or delayed a lot.
The airline said they are sorry and are working to make sure this doesn't happen again.
However, some passengers are still complaining that they haven't received their refunds yet.
IndiGo has fully processed and cleared all refunds for flight cancellations between December 3-5, 2025, as per their statement to the DGCA.
Passengers with cancellations within 24 hours of departure are eligible for compensation as per DGCA regulations.
IndiGo extended a 'Gesture of Care' offering two travel vouchers of Rs 5,000 each (total Rs 10,000) valid for 12 months.
The disruptions were caused by poor pilot roster planning and failure to prepare for tighter safety regulations.
Despite IndiGo's claims, many passengers continue to report non-receipt of refunds on social media.
