Ashi Chouksey Targets Asian Games Gold After Intensive Preparation
Ashi Chouksey is an Indian shooter preparing for the Asian Games in Japan.
She won three medals at the previous Asian Games.
Two of those medals were silver, and she now hopes to change them into gold.
India’s shooting team has been practicing very hard.
The athletes have copied real matches and finals during training.
They even completed a long 120-shot session to test their focus and stamina.
Sports psychologists and special technology are helping them understand their bodies and breathing.
Chouksey says small details and strong fundamentals can make the team very successful.
She is especially excited to compete against China’s strong shooters.
Ashi Chouksey expressed confidence in India’s shooting contingent ahead of the Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan.
Chouksey won two silvers and a bronze at the 2023 Asian Games and now wants to win gold.
Indian shooters trained through match and final simulations, including an unusually demanding 120-shot session.
The team also used sports psychologists and biofeedback technology to study breathing and physiological responses.
Chouksey said competing against China’s strong shooting team would be a challenging and exciting opportunity.
