Air India AI-171 Crash Probe Update
On June 12, 2025, Air India flight AI-171 crashed just after taking off from Ahmedabad, killing 260 people.
The crash also hit a medical college hostel, killing 19 people on the ground.
Only one passenger survived.
The Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB) is looking into what caused the crash.
They said the final report will be ready by October 2025.
Some people, like the father of one of the pilots and a pilots' group, asked the Supreme Court to watch over the investigation.
They think the investigation might not be fair.
The AAIB says they are working with experts from other countries and doing detailed tests.
The first report said the fuel switches turned off just before the crash, but it's not clear why.
The final report should give more answers.
