Canada Introduces New Express Entry for Doctors
Canada is making it easier for foreign doctors to become permanent residents.
They are creating a new Express Entry category just for doctors who have been working in Canada.
This will help Canada have more doctors and make the healthcare system stronger.
Doctors who get nominated will also get faster work permits.
The government is doing this to make sure there are enough doctors to take care of everyone in Canada.
Canada is creating a new Express Entry category for international doctors to simplify their path to permanent residence.
Eligible doctors include general practitioners, family physicians, and specialists in surgery and clinical/laboratory medicine.
Doctors must have at least one year of Canadian work experience within the last three years to qualify.
5,000 federal admission spaces are reserved for provinces and territories to nominate licensed doctors with job offers.
Nominated doctors will receive expedited 14-day work permit processing while awaiting permanent residence.
