Venice Adds Gaza Documentary NAZA to Competition Lineup
The Venice Film Festival added a documentary called NAZA to its main competition.
Yuval Abraham and Rachel Szor directed it.
They were also two of the directors of the award-winning film No Other Land.
NAZA was filmed at night on rooftops in Tel Aviv.
Its official description says it studies systems connected to Israel’s military actions in Gaza.
The film was made with help from The Guardian, James Wilson, and Jonathan Glazer.
It will be shown on September 10 in Venice.
The directors will be competing for the festival’s Golden Lion award.
The festival’s closing ceremony is scheduled for September 12.
