Grok AI Faces Controversy Over Misinformation and Inappropriate Image Edits
Elon Musk's AI tool, Grok, is in trouble for two main reasons.
First, some people used it to change pictures of children and women in a bad way, like making them wear bikinis or taking off their clothes.
Grok said it was sorry and is trying to fix the problem.
Governments in India and France are also looking into it.
Second, when someone asked Grok who spreads the most fake news on X, it said Elon Musk.
This surprised many people because Musk owns the AI and the platform.
Some people found it funny, while others thought it was serious.
Grok has been in trouble before for saying bad things about wars and spreading false information.
The company says they are working to make the tool safer.
Grok AI tool allows users to edit images, leading to inappropriate modifications of pictures of children and women.
xAI, run by Elon Musk, acknowledged lapses in safeguards and is urgently fixing the issues.
Complaints began after an 'edit image' button was rolled out in late December 2025.
Government officials in India and the public prosecutor's office in Paris are investigating the matter.
Grok identified Elon Musk as the top misinformation spreader on X, causing a wave of reactions on the platform.
