Markets Surge Amid Budget Optimism
On Wednesday, the Indian stock markets saw a big rise, with the Sensex going up by 487 points and the Nifty gaining 167 points.
This happened because people are excited about the upcoming Union Budget, especially for defence and public sector companies.
At the same time, gold and silver prices reached new highs both in India and globally.
In India, gold was at Rs 1,71,000 per 10 grams, and silver was at Rs 3,85,000 per kg.
Worldwide, gold hit a record of USD 5,311 per ounce, and silver was at USD 112.22 per ounce.
The US dollar got weaker, which helped push up the prices of gold and silver.
The Federal Reserve is expected to keep interest rates the same, but everyone is waiting to see what they say about future rate cuts.
The Indian rupee stayed pretty steady against the dollar.
People think there might be more ups and downs in the market because of the Budget and the Federal Reserve's decision.
Sensex rose 487.20 points (0.60%) and Nifty gained 167.35 points (0.66%) driven by defence and PSU stocks ahead of the Union Budget.
Gold hit a new peak of Rs 1,71,000 per 10 grams in India and USD 5,311.38 per ounce globally, while silver reached Rs 3,85,000 per kg in India and USD 112.22 per ounce overseas.
The US dollar weakened, supporting higher bullion prices amid geopolitical tensions and trade uncertainties.
Federal Reserve's policy decision and Union Budget expectations are key factors driving market volatility.
The Indian rupee remained stable near 91.75–91.77 against the dollar, supported by positive market momentum.
