Telangana High Court Orders CCTV Preservation at Saifabad Police Station

The Telangana High Court is examining what happened at Saifabad police station.

Two people connected to BRS working president K T Rama Rao said masked men entered while they were being questioned.

They said some men may have been carrying hidden weapons and feared they could be harmed.

The government gave a different explanation.

It said the masked people came to ask for permission to use a DJ system during the Ganesh festival.

The government also said no attack took place.

The court ordered the police to save security-camera recordings from that day.

The recordings must be given to the court within two weeks.

The court also ordered officials to help keep the petitioners safe when they return for questioning.

The case will be considered again after two weeks.
