NEET UG 2025: New Rules for PwBD Certificate Announced by MCC
The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has new rules for students with disabilities (PwBD) who want to get into medical school through NEET UG 2025.
They need to get a special certificate from one of 16 approved places.
This follows a court order and new rules about how to check for disabilities.
To apply, students need to pass NEET, have a special ID card, and fill out forms about their disability.
They will be tested to see if they can do certain things.
The certificate is only good for the 2025-26 school year.
MCC announced new rules for NEET UG 2025 candidates applying under the PwBD category.
PwBD candidates must obtain a new disability certificate from one of the 16 MCC-approved centers.
The new guidelines follow the Supreme Court's directive in the Om Rathod vs Union of India case.
Candidates must meet specific eligibility criteria, including qualifying NEET UG 2025 and possessing a valid UDID card.
The disability certificate will be valid only for the 2025–26 academic session.
