Andhra Pradesh High Court Declines Stay on MBBS, BDS Counselling

Some people were unhappy about how medical college seats were being given out in Andhra Pradesh.

A man named Bode Ramachandra Yadav went to court to complain about a new government rule.

The rule involved something called web options, which let students choose their preferred colleges during admission.

The Andhra Pradesh High Court listened to both sides of the argument.

The court decided not to stop the seat allotment process for now.

It said that no student who was actually affected had come to court asking for help.

The court asked the university to explain what had changed in the admission procedure.

The people complaining said the new rule could hurt good students from reserved categories.

The university said stopping web options would hurt good students instead.

The court will continue to hear the case at a later date.
