Quick Commerce Firms Drop 10-Minute Delivery
Some companies that deliver things very quickly, like Swiggy, Zomato, Blinkit, and Zepto, have stopped promising to deliver items in just 10 minutes.
The government asked them to do this because the strict delivery times were making the delivery workers feel pressured and unsafe.
The workers had also gone on strike to complain about low pay and bad working conditions.
The government is also working on new rules to make sure these workers get better protection and benefits.
Blinkit has already changed its advertising to say it delivers 30,000 products to your doorstep, without promising a specific time.
Other companies are expected to do the same soon.
AAP MP Raghav Chadha welcomed the decision, saying it will help ensure the safety of delivery riders and everyone who shares our roads.
