Ismail Yusuf College Gets Approval for Hostel and Flag Proposals
Ismail Yusuf College in Mumbai may get a place for 320 women students to live.
It may also get a very tall, 150-foot national flag.
Minister Chandrakant Patil approved the proposals and asked officials to prepare the required paperwork soon.
MP Ravindra Waikar had been asking for the hostel since 2020.
The college has more than 6,000 students.
A previous funding allocation had been made, but the hostel project did not move ahead.
The flag still needs a no-objection certificate before it can be installed.
Waikar said he could use money from his MP fund if other funds are not available.
Higher and Technical Education Minister Chandrakant Patil approved proposals for a 320-bed women's hostel and a 150-foot national flag at Ismail Yusuf College.
