TCS Awards Up to 70% Variable Pay to Senior Staff
TCS gives some employees extra pay based on their performance each quarter.
For April through June, mid- and senior-level workers received about 60% to 70% of this extra pay.
This was lower than the up-to-80% they received in the two earlier quarters.
The company now considers both a worker’s performance and how well their business area performed.
Some areas, such as travel, were affected by the continuing conflict in West Asia.
Junior employees who qualified reportedly received the full amount.
Workers also need to attend the office at least 85% of the time for the full payout.
Infosys gave a similar average bonus while technology companies adjust to changes caused by artificial intelligence.
Tata Consultancy Services awarded 60-70% quarterly variable allowance to mid- and senior-level employees for the April-June quarter.
The payout was below the up-to-80% levels received by these employees in the previous two quarters.
Payout calculations now include both individual performance and the performance of employees’ business verticals.
Junior-level eligible employees reportedly received the full 100% payout, while office attendance affected bonus eligibility.
Infosys separately paid an average 70% first-quarter performance bonus as India’s IT sector adapts to artificial intelligence-driven changes.
