Kandla Port Achieves 100 MT Cargo in FY26
Kandla Port in Gujarat has become the fastest major port in India to handle 100 million tonnes of cargo in the financial year 2025-26.
This is a big achievement because last year, the port reached this milestone much later.
The port handled a lot more fertilisers, container cargo, iron and steel, petroleum products, and timber compared to last year.
The chairman of the port said this success is because of the hard work of everyone involved in making the port function 24/7.
