SSC Proposes Written Tests for Group C and D Posts
The School Service Commission (SSC) in West Bengal has proposed to hold written tests on March 1 for Group C posts and on March 15 for Group D posts in schools.
These tests are to shortlist candidates for jobs that were previously terminated due to allegations of corruption.
The dates might change based on the state government's decision, as they are concerned about potential disruptions from election-related activities.
Around 16 lakh candidates have applied for these posts.
The Supreme Court has extended the deadline for schoolteacher recruitment to August 31, 2024, due to ongoing legal issues.
Many of the affected candidates are currently doing odd jobs to support their families.
