Bengaluru to Goa Vande Bharat Express Proposed
Union Minister H D Kumaraswamy has asked for a new fast train, called the Vande Bharat Express, to run from Bengaluru to Goa.
This train would go through Mangaluru and Karwar, making the trip quicker and more comfortable.
The train line is already ready for electric trains, so there are no big problems to start this service.
The new train could help people travel faster and make it easier for tourists to visit Goa and the coastal areas of Karnataka.
The government is still deciding if they will start this train service.
Union Minister H D Kumaraswamy proposed a Vande Bharat Express service on the Bengaluru–Mangaluru–Karwar–Madgaon (Goa) route.
The proposal aims to improve rail connectivity and reduce travel time between Karnataka's coastal districts and Goa.
The ghat section along the route has been electrified, removing technical hurdles for the semi-high-speed train.
The Vande Bharat Express would offer modern facilities and faster travel, benefiting passengers and boosting tourism.
The Union Railway Ministry is yet to respond to the proposal.
