Patanjali Houses World’s Largest Herbal Art Museum

Patanjali has created a large museum about plants in Haridwar.

It contains more than 65,000 paintings and drawings about medicinal and biodiversity-rich plants.

The artworks show details such as leaves, flowers, fruits, seeds and plant structures.

Botanists, scientists, Ayurveda researchers and students may use them for study.

Many paintings were made by hand with acrylic colours and are designed to look lifelike.

The collection is carefully stored in special sliders, cupboards and racks.

Patanjali says the artworks may remain preserved for up to 300 years.

Acharya Balkrishna started the project after seeing a smaller collection of botanical paintings in Kolkata.

The museum has also been mentioned in National Academy of Sciences Letters.
